I'm Rike (Reka), mum to Darcie and Evie and partner to Richard. We live just outside of Rangiora, close to Christchurch, NZ. I was about to embark on my second journey of maternity leave, when I started The Hideout.
I was born in Germany, however came to New Zealand and settled here 12 years ago, spending 7 years working within the dairy industry. Those particular years is what started and grew my love for anything country and with the impending start of my maternity leave, that's where the idea for The Hideout was born.
The Hideout is a small boutique online store operating just out of Rangiora near Christchurch. We specalise in premium Brazilian cowhides, as well as cowhide accessories such as cowhide purses, wallets, handbags & travel bags.
All our cowhides are hand selected by us, ensuring we get the highest quality hides and a variety of colours. This means if there is a specific colour you are looking for that is currently not in our shop, we will do our best to source one to suit your specifications.
